Thank you for your support as I begin this new chapter with Long Life Psychiatry, LLC. My healthcare journey began in 2013 as a psychiatric registered nurse at Maine Medical Center, following an earlier career as a high school art teacher and years spent raising my four daughters. While serving as a unit educator and charge nurse, I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine and became board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I had the privilege of training alongside exceptional psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners at Maine Medical Center, Spring Harbor Hospital, and other respected programs throughout Maine. I later transitioned into a psychiatric provider role, spending nearly eight years caring for patients on an inpatient psychiatry unit. During that time, I developed a deep passion for helping individuals and families navigate mental health challenges, including the complexities of dementia and other life-changing conditions. I also enjoyed mentoring psychiatric nurse practitioner students and contributing to a collaborative learning environment. Recognizing the barriers many people face when seeking mental health care, I founded Long Life Psychiatry to expand access through telepsychiatry services. My goal is to provide compassionate medication management and therapy while helping bridge gaps in mental health care for older adults and communities across Maine. I look forward to supporting patients on their journey toward improved mental wellness.

Hi! My name is Sammy, and I’m excited to be part of the team supporting my Mom’s psychiatric practice. I have a background as a dental assistant and have always been passionate about healthcare and helping others. I’m grateful to help create a welcoming experience for her patients while supporting a practice dedicated to compassionate mental health care. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outside in the sun and with my two cats and dog!
